Frequently Asked Questions
Question: I've heard you have a special program for persons with brain injuries. How can I find out more? Answer: ElderHealth's "Heads Up Program" is a long-term program for persons aged 18-60 years old with acquired brain injury. Besides benefiting from nursing and occupational therapy services, our participants enjoy learning to work on computers (with adaptive devices), going on field trips, and improving their memory through many cognitive activities. Heads Up is offered at ElderHealth's downtown Seattle location and is the only program of its type in Washington. Launched in 2002, a year later we added additional staff to allow more participants to take advantage of this unique program. |
