What are adult day programs?
Our programs are much like senior centers — places where older adults
can socialize and enjoy group activities.
Our adult day health programs help frail elders and disabled adults
maintain or improve their physical, social and cognitive functioning. Nursing
and rehabilitative services combined with social programs help our participants
stay living at home.
Our adult day care programs provide social opportunities for persons
with memory loss and respite for the loved ones who take care of them.
Who should use adult day services?
Anyone who is:
- challenged by physical disabilities or poor health
diabetes * stroke * Parkinson's * incontinence;
- socially isolated or homebound
lonely at home * infrequent visitors
- unable to perform daily activities without assistance
trouble preparing meals * bathing;
- experiencing confusion or memory loss
difficulty managing medications;
- cared for by someone who needs time for their own daily activities
shopping * appointments.

"
At ElderHealth I put away my cane and can't wait to join the action: games,
basketball, soccer, volleyball. We're sitting down of course, but I love to
compete and to help others that are quite frail. I can get the men dancing;
they're in wheelchairs but I can get their faces to light up. I live in an
adult family home and I can't wait for the bus to take me to ElderHealth
— it's like going to high school!
